To support delivering FHG’s SGP, we are investing in talent, capacity and amongst others widening our technological capabilities.

FHG is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its Generic API business unit to maintain and grow business in the international market for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) with the following main responsibilities:

Lead business activities in India and South & Central America (Territory)
Support development of market and product strategies
Manage and expand existing customers in the Territory for APIs
Maintain and generate new business in the Territory for APIs
Promotion of R&D Products in the assigned Territory
Build healthy business and prioritize for highest value opportunities
Become a trusted contact and develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships that earn the loyalty of prospects and current clients (short and long term)
Preparation and monitoring of sales budget in the Territory
Support to Commercial Dept on Technical topics (IP, Regulatory, Chemical)
From a commercial perspective, support FHG with the coordination of APIs under development
Participate in industry trade shows
Travel required

Required Education & Experience:

Life Science Degree / Background related to the pharmaceutical industry
3+ years of Business Development experience in the generic API sector
Proven track record of selling API into the international pharmaceutical market, ideally Asia and Central & South America
Proven strong negotiation skills

Desirable Knowledge, capabilities, and skills:

Business Education
Experience working in a Technical / Life Science environment, with technical background
Experience working in a GMP environment, with some knowledge of regulatory standards
Experience working in IP, understanding / education in IP
Pro-active, energetic, optimistic
Problem solving
